I’ve been a  picture editor for all sorts of publications in my time, most notably for the Times Supplements and for Country Life magazine, both of which I worked for a number of years for.

When possible I’ve run  my own business on the side.  This one!  Working as an illustrator and designer (and photographer on occasion) myself as well as art directing other people when outside artists are needed.

I lived in London for over 11 years, and on moving away to Cheshire, I stopped working as a picture editor to concentrate solely on illustration and design.

I have a photography degree which I studied for at the Bournemouth And Poole Art Academy.  However both of my parents and both sets of Grandparents were fine art, graphics and illustration lecturers and I was brought up with those elements installed from a young age.  Photography was the missing link in my media education which is why I studied it.

All in all I’ve over 20 years experience in my field, which makes it very difficult to get away with telling you that I’m 23… unless I tell you that I started working professionally at the age of 3!
